Oreo Cheesecake Stuffed Donut

I have to be honest — this recipe started as a complete accident. I wasn’t trying to be fancy or creative that day; I just wanted something sweet and comforting. You know those afternoons when you’re wandering around your kitchen, opening the fridge five times, hoping dessert magically appears? Yeah, it was one of those days.

I had a couple of leftover donuts from the bakery, half a block of cream cheese, and an open pack of Oreos that had somehow survived two whole days in my house (which never happens). I remember thinking, what if I just… combine them? Not in a logical, recipe-developer kind of way — more like a “let’s see what happens” kind of curiosity.

So, I started mixing. The cream cheese turned smooth and velvety, I threw in some powdered sugar, a splash of vanilla, and a little cream until it looked like something I wanted to eat straight out of the bowl. Then I crushed up a few Oreos, and suddenly, it smelled like cookies and happiness.

When I sandwiched that filling between two donuts and drizzled warm chocolate over the top, I actually laughed out loud. It looked so over-the-top — like something from one of those food videos you scroll past at midnight thinking, “no one really makes that.” But then I took a bite, and I swear… I just stood there in silence for a second. It was unreal.

Soft, pillowy donut. Cool, creamy cheesecake filling. Crunchy bits of Oreo. A glossy layer of chocolate on top. Every bite tasted like a sugar-fueled daydream. I brought one to my neighbor, and she immediately texted me, “WHAT is this???” And that’s when I knew it wasn’t just a happy accident — it was a keeper.

Now, this has become my go-to “show-off dessert.” You know, the one you make when you want everyone to think you spent hours in the kitchen, when really it took, like, ten minutes. It’s messy, dramatic, and absolutely not diet-friendly — but honestly? Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

So if you’re ready to make something that’s equal parts chaos and heaven, grab a couple of donuts and some Oreos, and let’s get into it.

What You’ll Need

For the Donuts

2 large, yeast-raised donuts (glazed or plain — your call)

1 tablespoon caramel sauce (optional, but so good for drizzling)

For the Cheesecake Filling

½ cup cream cheese, softened

¼ cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons heavy cream

6–8 whole Oreo cookies

¼ cup crushed Oreos (for topping)

For the Chocolate Layer

¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon heavy cream

How to Make It

Step 1: Make the filling.
In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy cream until it’s smooth and fluffy. You can use a mixer or just a spoon — either works. Set it aside (and try not to eat it all with a spoon).

Step 2: Make the chocolate layer.
Pop the chocolate chips and heavy cream into a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 20 seconds, stir, then another 10–15 seconds until it’s glossy and smooth. Don’t overheat it or it’ll seize — just warm enough to drizzle.

Step 3: Build your “donut sandwich.”
Slice one donut in half horizontally. Spread a thick, creamy layer of cheesecake filling on the bottom half. Lay 3–4 whole Oreos on top, pressing them gently into the filling.

Step 4: Add the chocolate.
Drizzle some of your warm chocolate over the Oreos — let it drip a little down the sides. That’s the magic.

Step 5: Top and finish.
Place the second donut half on top. Press lightly to hold everything together. Drizzle the rest of the chocolate over the top, then sprinkle crushed Oreos all over. If you’re feeling fancy, drizzle some caramel around the edges too.

Step 6: Serve (and try not to cry tears of joy).
You can slice it in half to share… or not. No judgment.

Recipe FAQs

1: Can I use store-bought donuts?
Absolutely. In fact, that’s what I did. Fresh bakery donuts work best because they’re soft and easy to slice.

2: Can I make this ahead of time?
You can, but it’s best eaten fresh. If you refrigerate it, the donuts can get a bit dense — though honestly, it’s still amazing cold.

3: What if I don’t have heavy cream?
No stress. You can use milk for the filling and chocolate layer — just use a little less so it’s still creamy.

4: How messy is it?
Let’s just say… don’t wear white. The chocolate and filling will find a way to escape. But that’s part of the fun!

5: Can I swap the Oreos for something else?
Totally. Try Biscoff cookies, Nutter Butters, or even chocolate chip cookies. The idea is to create that contrast — soft, creamy, crunchy, sweet.
